Pittsford Firefighters attack a basement fire on Church Street, in the village, on April 8, 2006. Arriving companies found heavy smoke conditions throughout the structure with a fire in the basement. Fire had burned through the first floor. The cause of the fire is under investigation. |

Pittsford Fire Department responded to a working fire in the 1st Presbyterian Church on May 20, 2004. The fire, due to a lightning strike, caused heavy damage to the sanctuary, including structural collapse of the sanctuary roof. |

Pittsford Firefighters were kept busy on February 10, 2001, when winds in excess of 65 mph caused widespread damage. The worst of the damage was done to this home in the Village of Pittsford. |
